I started up this website because like a lot of parents in this day and age my children had very sensitive skin. Any soap I bought would give them a terrible rash or simply irate their delicate skin.

I thought I would never find a soap that wouldn’t give them nasty side effects. Then I began making soap at home with natural additives and it worked like a charm. I started to created soaps for friends and family. Soon they started to say that not only was the soap great to look at, it was clearing their skin.

It was due to their enthusiasm that I decide to produce this video. I want to share these wonderful techniques with everyone who may be in the same situation or just loves the thought of designing their own soaps and cosmetics for Pleasure or Profit.

Why Melt & Pour?  Did you know that creating the traditional cold processes method involves making soap with Lye also known as Caustic Soda or sodium hydroxide? Lye is a very dangerous to work with! Lye can causes severe burns. When making soap with lye, you must wear safety gloves and goggles. It must also be kept out of reach of children, animals and in a secure cool… preferably locked area!

I don’t know about you, but I’m rather clumsy. At home my two young children and our dog constantly rush in and out of the kitchen where I create my soaps and cosmetics. I don’t want to use anything that I need to wear protective clothing for… especially in my home. I also don’t want any accidental spill that produces hazardous fumes. Inhaling these gasses damages your lungs.

 

 Making soap at home with melt and pour base allows me to teach my techniques to both children and adults. It gives me the confidence to create beautiful natural soaps in a safe environment free from all of these noxious substances.
